“Contained”, an experimental animation created with no prior planning or storyboarding. The creators reacted to the medium spontaneously and sculpt the form of the story frame by frame. By expressing their emotion through the molding of the clay, the process of the animation took on a form of self therapy.
Inspired by Arthur Schopenhauer’s pessimistic views on the problems of social interaction, commonly known as hedgehog dilemma, ‘Winter in the Warmth’ seeks to explore the inevitable sacrifice one has to make when one seeks an alternate source of comfort. Using a simplistic style of cross dissolve animation, the short film presents a dark fairy tale.
‘Story About My Dad’ is a papercut animation. It was done for a Safety@Work Creative Awards which is jointly organised by the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council and Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) in collaboration with Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Story About My Dad got the 1st Prize winning the Gold Award of the Digital Animation category.
An animation video made for a campaign against live shark finning. The concept is by OGILVY & MATHER SINGAPORE, 3D animation by CRAVE FX, while the 2D animation was by Elena, Harry and Henry. It also wins the Gold Spike award 2012 under the “Charity and Fundraising Category” in Spikes Asia creative advertising festival.
Birthday Present is an animation project created in 2006 to demonstrate CG skills to gain employment in the animation industry after completing their National Services. It won the CG Excellence Award from CG Overdrive.
